Extending walls beyond the roof?!

Of course, I mean it seriously!!! Is it not a roof just because the roof surfaces do not rest on a wall but on freestanding supports? The construction is the same, just without masonry. In your drawing, at most an (impermissible) flat roof with a superstructure whose function is not further defined can be seen.
