What kind of monthly burden did you have in mind? How long have you been in the profession?
Currently, due to the high amount, I have a payment of €1500 per month in mind. At first, I had planned to pay off a high amount and less special repayment. Now I’m doing it the other way around so there is more leeway for contingencies. I have been in the profession for 7 years now, soon the 8th. On the side, I am still self-employed as a sole proprietor.
What surprises me is that your bank includes shift allowances.
Additionally, you are at an age where you absolutely don’t let anyone tell you anything, worse than puberty, but luckily not as much money goes out then.
Hello Tom,
normally guys my age don’t worry about that at all. The bank calculates with what remains at the end. Since I am financing through my house bank, they know about my income and expenses.
What is meant by “not letting anyone tell you anything” at that age? I do not intend to start a midlife crisis now or try a different job. Everything actually fits as it is at the moment. There is always room for improvement.
Others get drunk every weekend or blow money on cigarettes and so on, and I put it into the house, from which I will benefit for the rest of my life. Besides, my two cars also need a warm garage sometimes. So I am not only thinking about myself

But first of all, a big thank you for your sympathy and your opinions. Possibly, after buying the plot, construction will not start immediately if the idea and the budget don’t match. My parents say that I should first build something small and then possibly add on. But I’m somehow not a fan of that. If, then properly right away.
Currently, my savings with reserves amount to about €25,000 / year. Possibly then saving 2–3 more years with the hope that the interest rate stays in this environment..
