sees no reason not to take a 10-box. The distances do not become significantly longer because of that. You can operate it according to your preference.

yes, our cistern will really have 90m3, located in the ground in front of the pool. It will definitely be exciting when the delivery arrives. That’s one part. Overall, our construction project is somewhat larger. There is also a thread about it. We also have a spring on the property. Additionally, all roofs and terraces drain into the cistern. Thus, we have sufficient water for irrigation when it is dry for a few weeks.

Irrigation on the hill is also not complicated. Usually, it is enough to install the sprinklers slightly tilted. Only on steep slopes might it make sense to use higher risers or water in a cascade from top to bottom.

Thank you, I have already admired your construction project. I hope you will post photos of the delivery!!

I have now got an extra water connection for the Hunter system in the utility room, but it is DN20 and 2.5m3 (unfortunately noticed too late). The valve box has DN25 and you had also recommended the PE pipes with DN25. Does that make sense for me, or should I lay DN20 pipes because my bottleneck is the connection with DN20?

Ok, just realized that DN20=25mm outer diameter, so I would actually install the 25mm PE pipe. Is the sturdier PN16 necessary or is PN6 sufficient for the sprinklers?

The circuits were calculated for a maximum of 2m3 because usually a smaller water meter/connection is installed. So it's not the end of the world. Please use PE HD PN 16 everywhere. The valves tend to kink more easily and are more sensitive. If everything goes well, you won't have to dig up/see these lines for the next decades. For the sprinklers, you need the sturdiest pipes since you are more likely to dig there or make changes. So please use PN16 everywhere. It might cost around 100-200€ for your installation. That is money well spent. During installation, lay the coils in the sun in the morning and unroll them with two people after a few hours. DN25 is still not thick and quite easy to install. For fittings, I can recommend Unidelta. I personally seal all threads with PTFE (Teflon tape). Of course, it doesn't really matter if it drips a little, but you lose pressure, etc. Regarding the question of pipe diameter: it can also make sense to use a larger diameter even if the water meter is smaller. The larger diameter results in less line and pressure loss. But DN25 throughout works for you. Another advantage is only one type of pipe and fitting size. For example, in our house, we run 63mm pipes from the pump to the filter. Then continue with 40mm to the valve boxes and the individual circuits with 32mm. But that only makes sense if there is enough water volume or circuits are large and/or pipes are long.

I want to level the garden in spring and sow the lawn. I wonder if it makes sense to lay the PE pipes already, but exactly where? Since I don't have any curbstones/pavers yet, I can't say exactly where the corner sprinklers, etc. will be positioned. So sow the lawn and later in the summer, when the system is completely installed, also lay all the PE pipes? Looking forward to it
