What were the reasons? I also tend towards Hydrawise (app looks better/more professional, everything from one source and no tinkering like with OS (feeling-wise), price-wise the same) and I wouldn’t know why anyone should intervene in the irrigation except to turn it on or off quickly via app.

Opensprinkler would have required an additional enclosure and power supply. With Hydrawise, I could simply screw it to the wall, plug in the 230V cable, connect it to the valves, and it was done.

So you have the outdoor version? Yeah ok, both would end up in the garage for me.
