I think the desire for, e.g., a large bathroom, dressing room, straight staircase, double garage with access to the house, symmetry, angled terrace, etc. has indeed arisen here, but still from amateurs.
Meanwhile, I wonder (I am also an amateur) whether a heating system fits well in an extension. After all, now the extension including the garage has to be insulated... are these costs worth it?
You have now been shown the deficiencies (even without a site plan) – a good architect probably wouldn’t have made these mistakes, unless the client insists on this and that.
Now you are desperately trying to work around this plan (so many hours and thoughts have gone into it), walls are getting angles, small niches are being created, even though a new approach would probably make more sense.
