Slang for a large cooking-sink island that dominates the room.
Quote from the electronic message board about kitchens.

Thank you both.
Kitchen islands that become impractical again once they reach a certain size. Now I got it. Not for nothing the mocking word ;)

tztztz......there is surely also a life without [Flugzeugträger-Küche].....but it is probably a meaningless one...or did that only apply to Loriot's pug?

So I would really like a real aircraft carrier, I wonder if it can be greened? And whether a five-figure monthly income is enough to maintain it?

I really feel unhappy now that I missed out on the aircraft carrier in my life. With a nuclear reactor. I wish I hadn’t been so stingy back then during the construction... *Midlife Crisis*

Pug instead of carrier ... will probably be our motto ;) Well, if you look at it that way, we were stingy too. One more meter of the house's length, and we could have, if we wanted, also placed the too long object inside the house. Now I have an island of only 1.80, which I can even quickly walk around, that doesn't block like an aircraft carrier. Does the word come from that, because one shouldn't walk around an aircraft? But I don't want to keep badmouthing it, even though the word itself carries that meaning. Then you just have to be able to take it.
