Hello, we are still in the planning phase, and I would like to benefit from the experiences of people who have already gone through this.
A very central point in our considerations is the topic of the kitchen. Practically all ideas – drafts that we find in floor plans envision rather small kitchens, open, sometimes under ten square meters – with the dining area in the living room, which of course is sufficiently large.
Now, personally, I already don’t like the concept of the open kitchen. I want a closed one. And I want the possibility to have a dining table in the kitchen. It must accommodate 4 people. This dining nook doesn’t have to be large or spacious. But I want the possibility that we can have breakfast in the kitchen, so that I don’t have the living room in chaos every morning after eating with two small children.
But for that, a kitchen with 10 sqm probably won’t be enough.
If you have a dining table in the kitchen, how big is it or how big is your entire kitchen? I’m also happy to be inspired by photos.
Or am I totally overestimating the possibility of being able to eat in the kitchen?
