Here is the plot with the not 100% accurate dimensions but it should be sufficient for here. The red line in the north is the property boundary. Otherwise, the black lines are the borders.

That was once the plan, but the municipality already said in the first meeting that we should build in the axis and not parallel to the street. A single wall (like from the garage) is OK.

Yes, at the moment we are leaning more towards a hip roof. I will get elevations this week and can then upload them. PS: On the garage no hip roof, but a flat roof.

I have asked myself that too but somehow it’s more rather than less :-|

When looking at the empty and unencumbered plot, I also see an L-shaped house that integrates the garage in the north. This way, the garden might increase by a few meters. Even 1m or 2m makes a big difference on small plots. This is not meant negatively, we also only have such a plot^^

I have to admit, I didn’t quite understand that. Where exactly is the desired alignment?

Or is it just the orientation of the house that is meant?

The orientation of the house must be E/W or N/S. So gable or ridge.

I don’t find it easy: I once drew an L in one direction or another, also a rectangle... it is simply not the biggest plot with under 550 sqm, plus the triangle takes up a lot of space. Everything I draw works best with a carport/garage in the NW corner. So, no matter how you turn it: elsewhere a double carport plus parking spaces for a bike fleet just takes up too much space that could be used differently.
And I also find the usefulness of the tip with the storage room quite well done. How it's executed now is another story.

Furthermore, question: how was it? Border building not possible? Of course, that takes away some depth for the cars again...
Still, a nice inner courtyard results here, which is desired as far as I have understood.

With a long transverse wing, there is not much left in the east and west. Terrace then in the south.
As I see it, the house slides so far to the south that there is nothing left on the west side? Then at least something could be achieved there through windows. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
In the south, about 6 to 7 meters of depth remains across the entire width for the garden?! Of that, 4 meters are terrace, leaving only a strip for planting in the terrace area.

What about this variant?
I started to sketch the idea earlier briefly.
You would have more wide views from the house into the garden, house areas benefit more from the west side as well as the south side.
You can look diagonally, which results in more spaciousness and view length. The garden gets two areas, which can be used together or separately.
Although my initial idea of a straight staircase might not be good, you can certainly achieve a proper floor plan on this L, where the important rooms can open to the garden.

Viewed in total from planning and construction, maybe after all?

An aerial photo showing how the neighboring buildings are arranged could clarify this.
