But yes, we also don’t want something that emits fumes, so we chose a design floor with the Blue Angel.
Exactly, I would definitely pay attention to that! I wouldn’t want to support anything else.
It requires less effort to sand a parquet floor than to dispose of a plastic floor and lay a new one. I would therefore choose a parquet with a somewhat thicker wear layer for the living room.
Haha, basically a sensible thought. But it doesn’t help with deeper dents, so I would definitely prefer the design floor option!
Design flooring is not an option anyway because of the high costs and the poor price/performance ratio.
Can you elaborate? I don’t necessarily see it that way, rather the advantages of .
The parquet in the rental apartment was possibly not from a "mid-range" brand – I would double-check how representative your impression really is.
Unfortunately, I have to disagree. The wear layers are becoming thinner and thinner for cost reasons, and unfortunately it was a very high-priced parquet.
I simply see many advantages of design flooring: few scratches, dents (with the appropriate usage class), no problems with water, no grease stains, 10x better heat conductivity than parquet with underfloor heating, pleasant to walk, sit, and play on.
Environmental concerns can be addressed with plant oils and the Blue Angel.
Finally a supporter ;). Do you have any recommendations regarding manufacturers and types? People hear good but also a lot of bad about Parador Modular One.
Many thanks in advance for your quite differing opinions :). Despite the concerns here, I would rather prefer a glued or floating vinyl or design floor. I don’t like vinyl as much due to the lack of foot warmth. Although male, I am very sensitive here :).
