So we also struggled with the kitchen topic. We have a total of 13 m of kitchen + a freestanding side-by-side refrigerator. Of that, a 4 m wide counter with sink and 80 cm Vario induction cooktop, 1.20 m hood, and then Siemens IQ 700 series only the top devices (steam oven, oven with pyrolysis, built-in coffee machine, 2x warming drawers, latest generation dishwasher). The complete appliance package (except refrigerator) through the Siemens shop for 7000€, plus the Ikea furniture (all pull-outs, various 80 cm drawer cabinets) for almost 5000€. Plus a real wood countertop --> we end up at 15,000€ and really have all the technical gimmicks. At the kitchen studio, they laughed at me when I wanted to spend under 25,000. Especially the devices cost only 50% of the RRP online or from factory sales. That is really worth it. And yes, there is cursing during assembly - but that is part of the house-building adventure.

I just bought a SystemArt kitchen with glass fronts and an oak countertop. All appliances are in the mid-range segment from Miele and a Bora cooktop. A total of 11m including the island. The whole thing costs exactly 22k. 15k for Nobilia I therefore see rather in the upper range.

I have followed the thread for a day now. I don’t see much potential for savings. It is not an expensive kitchen (matching the quality and the equipment). Promotions from furniture stores and kitchen studios are also not an option. They exist in 52 weeks of the year, and you always pay (more or less) the same price. We had our kitchen planned with predefined wishes / layout / appliances etc. by different providers. The result was identical everywhere (prices between T€ 24 and T€ 26).

Having to make compromises everywhere is also not a good option in my opinion. Maybe rethink the entire design once to achieve the quality you want and at the same time get the price you are willing to pay.

That was basically our concern. Over time, you quickly lose perspective, similar to floor plans. We will wait this week, make another round of calls next week, and check or compare prices. I think then we will have a realistic framework. If it then turns out to be around 15,000 euros and we want the kitchen like that, we will just have to look deeply into each other’s eyes and decide.

You accept compromises, building is about making compromises, but only up to a certain point.

The offers for our kitchen (Alno Satina with Siemens appliances) ranged between 27k ("there's unfortunately no more room, that's our final price!") and about 13k from a very fair provider. In the end, we paid 11.5k with better equipment than originally offered. Of course, no seller lowers the price if they realize there's interest and you politely ask if maybe there's still 500,-€ to be saved. It's all a matter of negotiation skills. Aim high, get more
