I do have to wonder sometimes about the prices being asked here. It is certainly possible to handle the interior finishing with €14,000 by doing it yourself. Of course, I can’t then choose the designer toilet bowl, the 2 x 2 m level-access shower in Corian, and the handmade tile at €120/m². A normal, nice equipment that matches each other is doable, at least for me. And building materials like grout, sealing in the shower cabin, and Schluter rails really don’t cost the earth.
I think one shouldn’t let themselves be driven crazy. Sure, the rough financing should be planned, fit, and reserves included. The things that remain after the loan is used up usually still have time. One example: when we moved in, we “lacked” a wood-burning stove, extractor hood, freestanding wooden bathtub, and a new wardrobe. So what? We’re buying these things now little by little, and I’m over the moon when I light the stove for the first time in winter after connecting it. It wouldn’t have been like that if we had everything from the start. The extractor hood and bathtub are still missing, so what? They can wait.
Many greetings
