Question: does the FritzBox have a normal RJ45 socket as a DSL input?
Then one/I could connect directly from the TAE socket to the patch panel with a TAE->RJ45 cable at the front. At the back, patch the two living room CAT7 cables accordingly and then go to the switch.
The FB in the living room could disappear in a cabinet. The cabinet is certainly more "permeable" than two sand-lime brick walls.
