Will you use different types of wood on the ground floor and upper floor? Even with steel folding staircases, you can choose the tread in the same wood. Take a look at the 3 million euro house from 3 million euro house from Weberhaus. There is a video on Youtube. The staircase is a white steel folding staircase with Z-steps and oak treads. It looks great!

Take a look at two-colored saunas, there are wood tones that harmonize with each other, I would introduce a deliberate contrast with the staircase

Ah yes, nice accommodation. Unfortunately, always that croaking voice of the advertising lady.
Yes, I find something like that quite good, protruding metal with relatively thin wooden tread.
No, the same wood should be used upstairs and downstairs.

hm... glass is so 80s... I wouldn't choose that... and what I've read from you so far ... no, doesn't fit.

What style do you otherwise prefer in the living space?
And with which materials?
I wouldn't take the metal steps, they sound tinny.

If I had to decide again, I would have left the provisional construction wood on my steel staircase: worn oak planks, chalked by building dust, matte and open-pored, pleasant to walk on and easy to maintain.

Glass is out of the question, it just appeared as an option when searching for possible materials. Style...? Hmm.... I can't really put it in a box...... In any case, we have decided that it will be wide solid wood planks in pine, Douglas fir, or larch, which will then be stained towards brown-gray. Samples still need to be done......, kitchen white lacquer, various black USM Haller pieces.... so rather sparsely and minimally furnished. Good idea with your construction staircase...... could be my thing too..... we shall see..... something like that can't really be planned.... it either happens or it doesn't.
