I am surprised that I haven’t read anything about this here yet:

In the new coalition agreement it is written "The funding programs of the KfW will be merged into two central programs and simplified: one program for new construction and one for modernization."

Does anyone perhaps already have a well-functioning crystal ball regarding what this could mean for new construction? You occasionally read here and there that it is supposed to be something like a temporary reissue of the KfW 55 or EH 55 funding. Unfortunately, my research results end at this point. I would be interested in your opinions.

I hardly believe that kfw 55 will be subsidized again. It was already discontinued last year.

In new buildings, KfW55 is the minimum standard you have to build to. Why should there be funding for that? Funding exists/existed for particularly energy-efficient houses.

So that anyone builds at all. The boom has taken a severe hit, and there are new construction targets, albeit no quantified ones.

Then there should be no more subsidies for single-family houses, but only for apartment block construction. Because there is a shortage of (rental) apartments there.
Or additionally subsidies for renovations. That's how I would do it. The average single-family house builder could still receive subsidies like those from the NRW.Bank, the L-Bank or similar – that is, for low-income households. Also for KfW 55.

The ministry is led by the SPD, so I would basically not expect too much there. They prefer dependent social tenants and housing benefit recipients over responsible homeowners.
