Measure the distance from the strip to the opposite cheek, find or make a piece of wood with a thickness of (approx. 2cm) and clamp the strip firmly each time with the wood, scratch-free if a cloth is wrapped around the wood

Thanks, that's a good idea. I took a small leftover piece of strip, but it's a little too thick. I'm looking for something thinner and will wrap a cloth around it. :)

All good, the plaster I have in mind was also homemade. Otherwise, a) it would be a bad comparison and b) your plaster is certainly a thousand times better than the one I meant. By the way, I think your result is great. You really did well. Thumbs up!

no, I would have the same problem. Do you have a wooden or plastic miter drawer? I had wood... then you sawed the drawer itself, so the fixture became increasingly crooked... by the way, we only attached the strips 2 years later

Oh thanks. ^^ Well, the first corner already has a big hole. I think I’ll do better if I can hold the molding properly in the miter box.

Sawing the miter box is not possible here, it can be adjusted to the angle and has metal rods between which you saw.

Are you working with a foam mat? By that I mean something that can be pressed together very easily. If it is something like that, then you better look for something harder. Wood or something else in the appropriate thickness.

To hold it, I always use a clamp. Between the clamp and the strip, you should for example put cardboard in between, otherwise you might get damage on the front side. At least the way the strip is placed in your picture.
