Can a layperson dare to handle the baseboards themselves?

Thank you <3 That's nice to hear! I think if I had dared to use the miter saw, I would already be finished; cutting takes the longest.

Do you just leave it open towards the floor, without sealing? Visually, I like it that way, but doesn't water get under the baseboards when wiping?

That’s fine and as long as you don’t create a swimming pool area, nothing will happen.

I need some spontaneous advice from you...
I am currently measuring the corners with this adjustable angle tool, and I can also place the baseboard in it and saw it (between about 4 metal pins). Doing it by hand is a shaky and slow process.
I have a Bosch saw here with blades for wood and would like to use it instead of my handsaw – that would probably be much faster.
My problem is, how do I secure the baseboards in the cutting jig, and how do I attach the cutting jig somewhere / or what onto? I don’t have a vise or anything like that.
What could I spontaneously get at the hardware store to be able to saw on it with the electric saw?

I know it’s an amateur question but somehow I can’t get any further.
I had found a craftsman who was supposed to attach the baseboards, but he has been postponing the appointment for 4 weeks and now is not getting back to me anymore.
