I see it a) harms no one and b) find it more practical than putting it elsewhere (which I "hate" the most when done without a reference link).

First of all, congratulations on the house

There is no right age. If it is your wish and everything fits, then just do it. You always learn from mistakes. In 15 years you might build again because your needs have changed or whatever. You never know in advance, so just do it. I am curious about your floor plan simply because it is nice to see how younger people think.
When I was your age, I also bought a condominium because a house simply wasn't an option for me yet, but everyone has different preferences.
And as someone wrote above, I have the feeling that the pressure today to be "perfect" and everything great, etc., holds many people back. Through the show-off on Insta, where much is edited or faked, unfortunately a false image is created for many. And overall, far fewer people in Germany dare to acquire property when you look abroad. That’s why we have many investors in terms of renting out properties, as it makes sense. Colleagues in Southern Europe and also in the East are noticeably more relaxed about this.

Feel free to post pictures and floor plans here. Even if there is criticism, you can’t please everyone. You might get new ideas, but in the end everything has to please you and you have to feel comfortable.

So, here is a draft of our house. 140 sqm, I painted a strip gray on the exterior wall so you can better imagine how it will roughly look. I'm curious to hear what you think about the draft!

There are no measurements available.

Look at the dining area and draw furniture to scale. Looks too small.

Show me the property for it, and (where) did you fill out the questionnaire? On the one hand, it’s the typical loveless cookie-cutter villa, on the other hand, considering your age, it’s after all just the first rung on the property ladder (aka the first house for an enemy), where I wouldn’t blow a lot of powder either. Just (or maybe: exactly) good enough to learn from where you would do the later dream house differently. Horns to knock off, or at best baby teeth. That it’s far from perfect I see "as a feature, not a bug." It’s enough for five years, or even seven. By the time two offspring would realistically live in it, you’re ready for the change and meanwhile you’ve gained ideas of how the new one should look. Just don’t make anything perfect now like the people who "only build once in life."

How was that? You don’t live in it yet, but the building permit is in place, right? These are the common mistakes: bay window with no use in size, only creates costs, chill area as a passage room, same with the bedroom (nobody really wants that). Not enough wardrobe with a closet, and given the orientation either the terrace or the children’s rooms are not exactly kissed by the sun. [="11ant, post: 433768, member: 32750"] On the one hand, that is the typical loveless substitute villa, [/QUOTE] Yes, you could say that... what it has to do with age... I think, quite a lot.
