We had older Audi + VW diesels until 3 years ago. Nice and practical cars but unfortunately we no longer have a local handyman, which is why we really were in the workshop more often and I got a rash every time some little light came on again. It was always said that it wasn’t so bad, but it was usually around €1,000, in one case even €2,500. Ok, these were also older vehicles but repair costs have greatly increased in my opinion, which is why this long warranty really hooked me, with which I now feel comfortable. I know that I can also get trouble again (waiting time for parts or similar), but after 3 years I can say for myself that the topic of cars finally feels relaxed to me.
If you want to lease, you usually get a new car anyway and thus also the warranty. Of course, there can also be something annoying, but it is much more reassuring to have such a warranty behind you than to face a repair of unknown cost. With the highly praised Ioniq, for example, we already had a recall campaign and in my info group there are many failures of the ICCU and each time in connection with towing. On goingelectric you can read that for every model there are friends and foes who report both fun and huge trouble, regardless of the manufacturer.
So nen Koreaner neu oder gebraucht aber noch in Garantie oder einen VAG neu leasen ist wohl die vernünftigste Wahl...
