I sat in the new Skoda Elroc today, since the big Enyac is selling great in Europe, the little brother will probably be good too, I like the little one.

Yes, purely based on the specs, I would let myself enjoy it, it was also well tested, but it is still too expensive and honestly a bit too big at almost 4.5m... I almost think it will come down to a Kona or Inster

Since we are also just getting a photovoltaic system and I am not sure if my wife will also consider an electric vehicle for the second car in the long term, I am following your thread with interest and have taken a look myself.

What I believe hasn’t come up here yet is the C4 from Citroen and the counterpart to the Corsa, the Peugeot 208. The 208 looks a bit sportier to me than the Corsa, but probably has the same technology, which you weren’t so enthusiastic about.

I had the C4 in mind, but moderate tests and now the new insights from the largest BEV service workshop in Europe make me very cautious. E-208 likewise, and unfortunately it is currently only available at a higher price than the Corsa.

On the relevant car platform, someone test drove the R5 and the Inster and attested that despite having less interior space, the Inster has a greater "want-to-have factor." That surprises me and makes me optimistic since it is still significantly cheaper to get.

For us, the second electric car is an advantage because often one is at home and charging while the other is on the road. Depending on the need, we juggle the cars between us and from March/April onwards we won’t need any electricity from the grid for the cars. With only one, you usually can only charge in the evening when the sun is gone or on weekends. That might be enough in summer, but in the transitional months, the two electric vehicles do make sense. I don’t know either yet but I have noticed for myself that you get hooked in completely different ways or not at all. For example, I like my really big screen and also the rear view, which is extremely helpful for our driveway even in winter. Although everything is very modern in our Hyundai, the app is much slower and quite sluggish, and the narrow screen, although stylish, is too small for me. I think you have to have sat inside; people experience it very differently.
