I’m not so sure about that when buying from a developer. Probably some things are still possible, but then the developer is the first to ask for money, they’ll hire the architect and MEP planner, both of whom want to be paid, and then there’s the contractor who calculates the surcharge. In the end, it becomes a bottomless pit.

Your bathroom solution really turned out great. I would like it like that too, some adjustments would be necessary, but something similar would surely have worked for us as well. Let’s see how the planning develops further. For now, we have a solution we’re happy with (with a glass shower wall). The selection appointment is in summer, we’ll see if it still makes sense to change anything then.

Hello, we have now settled on the solution. A little more glass will be installed (side shower wall and half-height towards the bathtub).

Now, however, we are at the point of lighting planning and the lighting outlets need to be determined. The room height from the top edge of the finished floor is 2.47m and it is a concrete ceiling. I currently see the following options for us, maybe you have another nice idea:

1) Hang the ceiling down as little as possible and work with spotlights (You lose room height, there are additional costs for hanging, but you are quite free in the lighting design)
2) Several recessed/surface-mounted spotlights (The additional lighting outlets are probably quite expensive, but you save yourself the hanging.)
3) 2 LED panels (would only be one more outlet, so fairly cost-effective, light distribution would probably be worse)

You could maybe also work with 2-3 wall lights. There is also an outlet for a mirror light.

It would always be sensible in such posts with follow-up questions to simply include the image of the latest planning status again ;)

You do that at the same time. The bathroom is not a ballroom where you need x lights. Above the washbasin and when showering. Done. I wouldn’t lower the ceiling. So what is the exact plan/floor plan now? You had to decide quickly and 2 months later you’re still planning  (even if only the lighting)

I would never voluntarily choose a sliding door to the terrace again. It's totally annoying. I would much rather have a hinged door that opens outward. It's the easiest and fastest, the cheapest, and breaks down the slowest. And now I read that you voluntarily decided on a sliding door. oh no. o_O Of course, I'm also a little jealous because you could have had a hinged door. :D That was no longer possible for me.

Sure, sorry!

Here is the floor plan, the wall between the shower and toilet is half-height, above that glass, and the pre-wall behind the toilet is also probably half-height (1.20m).

Other things had priority there, there were already enough night shifts at that time. We recently got the appointment for when the electrical sampling should take place (beginning of September). Based on past experiences, I listed all the points that belonged to me. The answer was "Oh, no, the ceiling outlets have to be decided next week." Therefore, that is now pending.

And thanks. Dropping the ceiling is also not my preferred solution. However, I find very few bathroom plans that manage without spotlights, hence the uncertainty.
