Is that the Shade Inox? How satisfied are you and is the height-adjustable mast worth it? We are also considering installing the system. We don't like canopies.

That's the one, 4 years ago under a different name.
We are very satisfied,
back then rope operation was still standard, electric is much better.
The sail is stormproof, an adjustable mast is important in rain to let the water drain off.
Size approx. 4.5x4.5.

Thank you for the picture
There is a small difference at the house of , as you can see, because it has a corresponding roof overhang and therefore surely has a dry terrace exit, at least it is not directly exposed to rain. In your case, it is completely exposed to the weather, as the picture shows, so you should decide according to your house situation. A "awning/roof yes or no" does not help here without the context.
The terrace shown would also be a bit too exposed for me, I prefer it to be a bit enclosed or bordered, even if that is designed with plants.

Hello everyone,

I would like to revive the thread.

Recently, we looked at the Pergolux terrace with 5x4m in our circle of acquaintances and are basically convinced by the idea of a fixed roof.

Due to our quite large terrace and also because of two seating options (table in the middle and lounge in the corner), if we choose a roof, we would actually like to have everything completely covered. I would then like to have all the furniture dry.

More important to us than sun protection is clearly wind protection with side awnings. I also found the louvered roof quite good.

What puts me off a bit about the Pergolux terrace is the assembly; it was apparently really very difficult.

Do you have experience with other reasonable providers? The Pergolux somehow looks more like the typical "Instagram roof" to me...

We would probably need 6x4m to cover our entire area.

Otherwise, does anyone have ideas for a roof for our area (you can find the picture in previous messages)? Somehow, I have gotten a bit tired of pergola roofs and am not 100% convinced by them.

To be honest, we ourselves do not yet exactly know what we imagine. Ultimately, our goal is to make the terrace a bit cozy and somehow create a sense of enclosure.

Sure, you can also put side awnings on Pergolux, but they are unsuitable in strong wind. They are more shade providers than wind protection. Assembly with Pergolux is difficult because the instructions are bad, but in itself it's not hard (they just need to write a good manual, then it would be easy peasy).

I was also skeptical about Pergolux until now, I had only seen the online advertising and thought, just some mail-order company, you might get more "design" than quality there. But I saw them at friends' houses a few weeks ago and was impressed. Considering that you can quickly spend 12-15k€ for a glass roof with shutters etc. from a local specialist, the price is totally reasonable. With the slats, I see the advantage that you can clean them more easily than glass, which you probably aren't even allowed to step on. We are going to get an offer for an awning next spring, thinking about 4x4 meters. Initial research on the internet shows that with electric motors and wind sensors we would probably quickly end up at 4-5k€ - then a corresponding solution from Pergolux is not far off either. Is the discount promotion really continuous and the "normal" prices basically never valid?
