The solution – which of course should have already been in the opening post – is in post #68: namely, that the stamp is basically already licked and the structural engineer just kindly pressed the pause button for a moment. That means the child is (from the perspective of the community, which would have liked to help) basically already fallen into the well and the OP "understood" Schrödinger only to the extent of simply not looking. From the perspective of the OP’s horizon of expectations, we are strange birds who, in terms of his perceived problem (only wanting suggestions for decorating the facade with windows), do not really help him but instead pathologically stubbornly "want to help better than he asked for." Someone here is doing something "wrong" – but fortunately each side can choose whether it is them or the other. It’s like the residents along the Rhine: everyone knows there is a "schäl’ Sick," but on each bank it is pretended that this means the other side ;-)

So it is that the structural engineer has not started yet and I could probably still change quite a bit...I found this out today.

And, would you want that too? - as said, there are quite a few opportunities (not least to save money) in it ...

... and you share it with us to achieve what? (You were already asked for multiline answers)

... it does not want to succeed.

let's continue to assume that window changes do not work based solely on the exterior view and that the greater potential lies in a somewhat more comprehensive optimization. What do you want, and what not?

Well... you are the first ones to point out to me that the layout might not be optimal and that a few other things are not quite thought through. The question is of course... can I still change things like jumps forward and backward? Because the building permit was then issued for a somewhat different building. If it could still be changed, I see no problem with making some changes as long as I don't keep the structural engineer waiting forever now. The reason for my short answers is rather that I work a lot. That's exactly why I didn't really have time for the planning. What I definitely want is no floor-to-ceiling windows in the upper floor but still bright, whereas in the lower floor lots of windows.

I can understand the aversion to floor-to-ceiling windows on the "private" floor.

But I also don’t find the 135 cm sill height windows nice, and above all, not well placed. One should really furnish the rooms realistically and then determine where one would like which windows with which sill height. And first place them... and then look at it from the outside and harmonize a bit.

I find, for example, the approach of with one window size, optionally vertical or horizontal, very appealing. So, for example, 165x100 = 100x165 or something like that.
