Hello everyone,
currently our new semi-detached house is being built by the developer.
Now it’s time for the electrical work and I am a bit overwhelmed with the subject of WLAN.
Network sockets are already planned in every room.
All the network cables will run together in the utility room and be connected to one device. Is that a HUB? I am attaching the picture.
I have thought about placing an AC on the wall in the living room on the ground floor and on the ceiling in the hallway on the first floor.
I have read that I don’t need any additional outlets for the network connections. Is that correct? What device do I need in addition to power the AC and where does it have to be connected?
Do the AC connections need regular sockets?

Thank you very much in advance

Best regards

The image is very poor, I assume this will be a patch panel.

In the era of POE, you no longer need power on site for access points. A fully populated CAT and a switch with POE or injectors on the cable are sufficient. The easiest thing is to look around for Ubiquiti access points, you can't go wrong with those.

With the router, you then turn off the WLAN and create a common network with the access points.

It might be fair to say that POE switches are much more expensive than normal ones.

I simply have 3 Fritzboxes, one on each floor. The expensive ones that can do mesh. They do mesh WLAN, they do guest LAN (without W). One in the basement turns what comes from Telekom's fiber optic modem into internet... they do DECT. But I DIDN'T WANT to deal with the topic and just went to Mediamarkt and bought three Fritzboxes for 600€...

The thing in the picture will be a patch panel, you still need a switch and super short cables to hook it up.

Either a POE switch or a normal one. Do you only have the 5 sockets in the house? Then you're actually cheap off with a POE switch.

Find the mistake....

For that money I bought a 24 port switch, 8 port POE switch, 3 Ubiquiti access points, 1 FritzBox and all the necessary small stuff.
Sorry, but your suggestion is not exactly good.

Is the picture from your construction site or from somewhere on the internet? What kind of connection will you get?
