Yes, the plan is to put the access point on the ceiling (let's see what the electrician says about the price *cough*). See attached floor plan (access point position in red). Between room 3 and 7 is the drywall wall. Rooms 2, 3, 5, 7 are the open plan rooms (bedroom, office).

You just need an empty box where the LAN cable comes out. Then put a keystone on the LAN cable, connect it to the access point with a short patch cable, and mount the access point on the box. Clean, simple, and better than using a socket... I have another question about your floor plan. The drywall between 3 and 7 is clear. Between the other rooms, are there no walls or like in the plan? With that size, you should at least have 2.4GHz coverage everywhere. The question is also how high your requirements are. I would probably work with two APs...

Yes, between all other rooms there are 11.5 cm Poroton bricks. Room 6 is the hallway + stairs. I’m assuming relaxed traffic at first, so no very large data streams or the necessity for low latency for gaming or anything like that. For that, there are the network outlets. If that changes, at some point you’d actually have to consider a second access point. Is the access point position okay like this? The drywall will only be built at the very end, so I can’t measure that beforehand.

I would prefer a clean solution with two APs on the ceiling. But since you don't have high demands, it will be sufficient. I would position the access point a bit lower so that it is more central. Which access point should it be?

I'm not there yet. You read quite a lot about Ubiquiti UniFi here in the forum....
