We chose WK6 - RC6 because we had already had two break-ins back then ... eventually you get fed up ... However, the added security was also very expensive.
Seriously? I think that’s totally over the top, but no attempt or break-in has yet been made on my place. Maybe I would think differently then. On the other hand, I know the price differences here for RC2 compared to RC2, and I don’t even want to know what RC6 costs!
RC4 - The experienced offender additionally uses saw and impact tools such as a splitting axe, crowbar, hammer, and chisel – as well as a cordless drill. Windows of resistance class 4 have very high burglary resistance. Resistance time: 10 min.
RC5 - The very experienced offender additionally uses power tools such as a drill, jigsaw or sabre saw, and angle grinder with a max. disc diameter of 125 mm. Windows of resistance class 5 have very, very high burglary resistance. Resistance time: 15 min.
RC6 - The very experienced offender additionally uses power tools such as a drill, jigsaw or sabre saw, and angle grinder with a max. disc diameter of 230 mm. Windows of resistance class 6 have extremely high burglary resistance. Resistance time: 20 min.
I hope you don’t live in a wooden house or that the roof is covered in such a way that the professional burglar (who we are already talking about here) would rather get in that way... To me it feels a bit like a fortress, but I don’t know your neighborhood or the building, so please don’t take this as a criticism but as amazement.
What still worries me: what do you do in an emergency when the fire department or similar needs QUICK access? They will probably get in without major problems up to RC3 or 4, but with RC6?! They would probably just take the wall instead, right?
Crazy story...
