What kind of enclosure is allowed? Is a bamboo hedge also permitted?

Hi everyone!

Since we don’t want a fence and I have always wanted a bamboo hedge, I am now in a bit of a tricky situation with my property.

The municipality requires us to implement one of the three ecological measures:
A) Rainwater cistern
B) Solar system
C) Garden planting with native woody plants

The development plan also states that we must plant two native fruit or deciduous trees.

Regarding fencing, there is also the point: "Instead of fences, planting hedges up to max 2.0 m high (lower reference point: road surface edge of the public street traffic area/traffic area for special purposes at the street boundary line; upper reference point: top of hedge) made of native, site-appropriate deciduous woody plants is permitted.

Of the measures, I would of course choose C), but no quantities are specified, so with the two trees, my requirement should already be fulfilled...

And is there now an option to plant a bamboo hedge, e.g. on my property side? So not on the property boundary...

Thanks in advance!
Marvin

As I read it from you, everyone must plant these 2 deciduous trees. Everyone.

Furthermore, you have to choose from a, b or c.
If you choose c, then certainly the majority of the planting must be native.

I cannot read the quoted text – there are too many abbreviations used.
But I believe that the overall appearance should fit the street. I can't imagine someone having to plant a hedge on the boundary. There are distance rules to observe.

Have you asked the building authority?

I would put the bamboo near the terrace

So the thing with the trees is a requirement for the allocation of the plot. (Einheimischenmodell) If you don't comply, you have to pay extra for the plot.

The quote is exactly as it is 1:1 in the development plan and I also cannot read it!

It is a completely new development area, currently the overall picture would basically be a fence of excavators!

Height reference point height reference point
Carriageway surface top Floor surface top

An attempt is made to communicate how the 2m height limit of the hedge is determined.

I read that bamboo as a hedge on/at the boundary (=enclosure) is not allowed. If hedge, then native.

Yes, that will be correct. Since the height can be disregarded here (it is only about the maximum and at least they measure it), a hedge made of native shrubs is allowed. It's a very simple sentence [emoji2] That would rule out the bamboos. As already said: I would enclose the terrace with it, nicely opaque on two lines, then they bring joy.

Alright, thank you! Then I will do it that way! But I am planting the hedge on my property, and if the neighbors want anything for the official boundary, they can do that!
