Oh dear, you must not see our development plan [emoji85][emoji23] Long live the hedgehog [emoji16]This is off topic, but when I read this, what do these municipal councils actually think they are doing, trying to dictate the choice of plants to the owner. Obviously, you don’t release orangutans in the forest in Germany, it’s bad enough that they already worship the wolf, but plants? If bamboo or a palm grows here, then let it be. And it certainly can’t be about taste, my house, my land, my rubber tree. That’s how I see it. Karsten
2.6.2 Fences must be designed so that the movement of small animals up to the size of hedgehogs is not obstructed (wooden fences, wide-meshed wire fences). Walls and wall bases are not permitted. In the front garden zone, fences are not allowed within a distance from the building boundary to the public traffic area up to a depth of 5.0 or 3.0 m, respectively.
2.6.3 At least 80% of the non-built-up plot areas must be designed as garden or green space. These areas should contain at least 30% tree and shrub plantings according to the plant list (1 tree = 10 m², 1 shrub = 1 m²).
2.6.4 Windowless building facades wider than 5.0 m must be greened with climbing plants according to the plant list or espalier fruit trees. For flat roofs and gently pitched roofs under 20° roof pitch, green roofing is to be provided.
I’ll spare you the plant list [emoji85][emoji28]
Oh, and because of the hedgehog, some now have to rebuild their already constructed L stones (or partially demolish them). Every 10 meters, there must not be an L stone, but a ramp for the hedgehog.
