Thanks, Alex has already clarified. It really only matters when it comes to the height of the hedge. And where there is no plaintiff, there is no judge.

Hello M4rvin. Just don't make a mistake ..... bamboo doesn't pass as native. I wouldn't recommend planting it on the property boundary and there can also be difficulties next to the terrace. I strongly advise you to inform yourself about bamboo first, you have to limit the roots otherwise you'll have a problem in a few years.
Best regards, Gustav

This is off topic, but when I read this, what do these municipal councillors actually think they are doing, trying to dictate the choice of plants to the owner. Of course, you don't release orangutans into the forest in Germany, it's bad enough that they already worship the wolf, but plants? If bamboo or a palm tree grow here, they should be allowed to. And it can't possibly be a matter of taste, my house, my land, my rubber plant. That's how I see it. Karsten

If you really want bamboo, then you just have to choose A or B.

At least here there is still a choice. With a [Zisterne] you can water whatever plants you want.
A hedge is not necessary
Almost everyone has apple trees and the like in their garden.

We have the restriction: no conifer hedges. I am glad, because otherwise everyone here would put cheap cemetery thujas on the border.
