Hello,
thank you for your opinion. And what do you think about decentralized systems then? With those you don’t have "long lines"
We have sold many decentralized systems and have been confirmed by the feedback from our builders that the systems work flawlessly. However, we only recommend heat recovery in rooms where it makes sense; namely the wet cells as well as the kitchen. Of course, it also always depends on the provider who installs the system; we have had very good experiences for years with a Berlin manufacturer – the customer service also comes out at Christmas and during heavy snow. In the area of central systems, we cooperate with a specially introduced division for private customers of a well-known provider; here too, I cannot report any negative feedback or poor customer service.
Even if I do not fully share my partner’s attitude regarding central ventilation systems, I find it an advantage for our customers to be able to operate a decentralized system as they wish. That means being able to ventilate one room more strongly or also to shut it off entirely without the whole system acting up. By the way, I have something against coupled systems in all areas of life: whether it’s a washer + dryer in one device or, also often found, an air-water heat pump as one device including ventilation system. If one is out of order, the other doesn’t work either...
One must not forget the not insignificant price differences between central vs. decentralized systems. Btw., also in the case of replacement: if something breaks in the decentralized system, often ugly numbers appear on the bill. If something is broken in a decentralized system – apart from the fact that the other fans continue to work – repair/replacement costs remain within a manageable range.
Ultimately, everyone has to decide for themselves whether a central or decentralized system is used. THAT is a never-ending Jehovah topic
Rhenish greetings
