Which zigzag profile? My pipes are completely smooth on the inside, even if they look "ribbed" from the outside. There is an additional layer built in on the inside. So apparently there are hygienic and unhygienic systems, but you could say the same about refrigerators, yet everyone has one.

A pipe ribbed/corrugated inside/outside is like a single-layer 0815 drain pipe, e.g. for DIN 1187 or DIN 4095... Is this still installed by manufacturers with the profile in ventilation systems?

Hello Siko82: We have been living for 6 months in a house with an air-to-air heat pump (Proxon - Weberhaus) sold by Proxon (Zimmermann Ventilation) and have had only positive experiences so far. Friends have had the same system for about 10 years and no problems with "hygiene" etc. Of course, filter changes are important (if you take a look, you can see what is in the air). Regarding running costs, I can only measure the current electricity consumption. Oct-Dec about 4-500 kWh/month; in summer about 100 kWh/month: all in all, this adds up to an estimated 4000 kWh/year - a good value for 160 m² area (we have a KFW 55 house, energy certificate about 42 kWh/m2/year). In my own experience, architects are very inflexible and often do not dare to deal with new technologies. Recommendation: install an air-to-air heat pump, save!

The part is probably a ventilation system with additional heating coils in the supply air system, through which the house is heated. Warm air is therefore blown into the rooms.
