You can do a lot with programming. It's really stupid that Ikea doesn't offer matching edge banding.

Ikea itself will not need to be written to about this problem... you won't get a response even after 4 weeks. It would still be a business opportunity for Ikea to offer such covers made to measure, just like the countertops.

That is not so easy. The countertops come from a manufacturer that is set up to produce custom sizes, as this has always been the standard. The fronts are mass-produced, partly by different companies that are probably not equipped for custom-made orders. You could try asking a designer what they had in mind with the spacer panels. Maybe it works with Vorname.nachname@IKEA.com

Is it actually possible to find out the manufacturer of the fronts? Maybe that way you can still get hold of something....

If you know someone who works at IKEA and likes to spill the beans... I also find it very unlikely that a manufacturer who does not sell to end customers would make an exception for a special custom order, especially from materials that are only used for a major customer. If you look at the countries of manufacture on the packaging, you will see that the parts are produced in Italy, Poland, etc., which does not make it any easier either.

Whether it works, I don't know, but you could try cutting a door 3 cm wider than needed, sawing it to the correct width only almost up to under the [folie], prying the wood away from the [folie], and then shaping and gluing the heated [folie] over the edge.
