We also have a fingerprint scanner and I still always carry a key. If the fingers are wet or dirty, the fingerprint does not work and since my fingers are not always in "top condition" after walking the dog, it's too risky for me. Also after gardening, washing the car, and other tasks, you can't get in with the fingerprint, or it's faster with the key because you first have to get a dry, clean finger.

Recommend choosing a model with an additional cost that also supports Bluetooth (App) and NFC. Then, for example, you can issue an NFC token to visitors or register existing ones. I, for instance, have a token from work that I have also authorized in the FP Reader. That also works with dirty fingers.

Venetian blinds in front of opaque glass? I can't imagine why opaque glass facing south and then Venetian blinds in front of it.

Ok, so what is basically the big advantage of the fingerprint then? I don't understand. If I have to carry the key anyway because it only works every third time, then you might as well install a normal lock? Or am I missing something?
