5 months and in a hurry? so we were in a hurry and it could easily have been another week faster if the company had filled out the correct rainwater drainage application right away (they sent us basin infiltration but wanted a shaft...). furthermore, the post office was striking exactly at that time, mail only arrived after more than a week. overall, you could easily have saved another 2 weeks. for us, there was exactly 1 day between approval and start. we were scheduled beforehand simply because they knew the plan would go through. without approval, we wouldn’t have started either. in general: as a builder, you control the pace yourself with the authorities if you are fancy. if you leave approvals lying around at home for weeks, everything takes longer. if you scan the approval at home immediately and send it out by email, everything goes really quickly. for 2 months, in addition to an 11-hour workday, I had another 3-4 hours per day of house organization on my plate. on Saturdays, there was always something to go and look at so that we could move forward with decisions (kitchen, stairs, windows, bricks, etc...). after 4.5 months of time pressure, I needed 2 weeks where I really did nothing at allP.s. We were in a big hurry. Contract signing at the beginning of January, construction start in mid-June
