That's possible, our plumber suggested that too. But then I can't mop the floor and "pull" into the shower. That's why: flush with the floor. And don't worry so much. The plumber will usually install it properly (unless he's a butcher ;))

That's not always the case. I know some people who have underfloor heating specifically under the tiled shower (to have warmer feet while showering), just not too close to the drain so that it doesn't dry out (and smell).

And then.....? With this version, don’t you have any silicone joint if you do it that way?
After all, you have such or similar seals everywhere in the house and in life. At the dishwasher, the heating, etc. everywhere. And everywhere there this seal can become brittle over time and then just has to be replaced.
I’m copying my previously unanswered question again:

We have a walk-in shower tray and, of course, the joint between the shower tray and the vertical tile is sealed with silicone. While I have already renewed many other silicone joints in the house because they were cracked, this joint is still in good condition. What cracked more in our shower are the horizontal joints between the vertical tiles. According to the tiler, this is due to the constant alternation between wet and quick drying and tight installation. According to him, however, it is not a problem because the sealing is underneath.

Yes, so the main thing you can take away is: It doesn't matter as long as the sealing was done correctly. And that is mandatory anyway no matter what goes on top!
