There are plastic wet cells made of fibrous plastic. They are cast ready-made in the factory. No idea what they are called in technical jargon. Boats are also made from them. Such a thing is installed in motorhomes. I have experienced it once in a hotel... unique ambiance!

It definitely did not have any silicone joints ;)

Yes, those things are very popular in the USA, at least if you take all the house-flipping shows as a measure. However, in my eyes, they are ultra ugly.

I am not a fan of wet floor tiles at all.. neither in the bathroom, nor in the swimming pool, nor anywhere else.. It always makes me feel a bit "gross".. I personally find cups more hygienic.. And they also come in very flat versions.. But there are actually grout lines here as well, which I wipe dry after every shower.

But you mostly find that in student dormitories or youth hostels. And by "unique" you don’t mean "nice" - right?

I once had a case where the joint between the wall and the shower tray was cracked. The users didn’t notice anything for years. Only when mold appeared in the neighboring room. That also only after a long time, as furniture was standing in front of it. Check regularly.

You can find something like that in the USA in all kinds of variations. However, the bathtub is usually only 1.40 meters long.
