To everyone who has a heat pump cascade, a tip from someone who unfortunately did it way too late: Build yourself an Excel sheet that calculates the meter readings for you! I have now gone through a weeks-long dispute with the grid operator and electricity company in which I was finally able to prove their calculation error!
One row per reading! The electricity companies do not always do the billing according to calendar years, and often there are 14 months in one period.
First four columns: total meter consumption/feed-in Hamburg meter consumption/feed-in
Three calculated columns: calculated heat pump meter, Hamburg meter, feed-in to the grid (feed-in to the heat pump can of course also be calculated, which would then be the power-to-heat dividend)
Three calculated columns with the difference (billing end - billing start), for example 1.11. - 31.10.
Enter ALL FOUR read values from the beginning! In my case, the grid operator repeatedly pulled tricks such as simply estimating 1,600 kWh less on a bill than I had reported in the same notification with all other values. Over the periods, this balances out, of course, but the bill does not add up initially, and if then the installment payment is calculated based on a 14-month period which includes two heating periods divided by 12, it of course really hits hard.
