That did not refer to the assembly service but to the subtle wording "IKEA or furniture store".
Sorry, that was of course not meant like that ....
Of course, Ikea is also a furniture store, but with the self-pickup warehouse more like Aldi or Lidl, where the goods are put on the shelves in boxes.
IKEA does have quite affordable furniture, but I find the delivery and assembly service quite expensive there and also these are not IKEA’s own employees but from external companies.
"Our" furniture store delivered and assembled the kitchen for free and also after one year an employee came and checked whether the doors and drawers needed adjustment.
Overall, the Nolte kitchen from a "different" furniture store was roughly price-neutral but with more service.
And as I said, I really like IKEA furniture and would have also liked to get a kitchen from there, but unfortunately the price of the assembly service was then the counterargument.
