And you think the tile skirting boards can't just be vacuumed?
Best to go over them with a Swiffer, that way you don't scratch the wall - but I'm getting off topic.

That's not what I mean, I know that.
Whether it's acrylic or wall paint on top, it holds the dust, and sooner or later it will become dingy and unsightly.

Hi everyone,
just a quick feedback, some things have become a bit clearer. The surcharge of 20 euros/sqm does not only refer to the tile size but also to the fact that it is [Feinsteinzeug].
Specifically, they want the 12.5 euro surcharge for the installation of [Feinsteinzeug] and
7.5 euro surcharge for the installation of the oversized tiles.

I can understand the 7.5 euro surcharge for the oversized tiles, but is it really that much extra effort to install [Feinsteinzeug]? They told me that they have to use a completely different adhesive which is very expensive, that the floor must be pretreated for this adhesive, etc.

In our contracts with the [GU], it even explicitly states that only tiles are included and the installation of [Feinsteinzeug] and oversized tiles costs extra.

To be honest, I never really thought about the difference between tiles and [Feinsteinzeug], it was always the same to me.

Tiles are just the ugly things for us that you unfortunately have to use in some areas...

Best regards,

Andreas

then it costs 100€ for the area instead of 50 euros ^^

probably takes an hour longer

the excuses are all old, they do this every day. extras just cost extra. they don’t get rich on the standard program because they sometimes have to calculate very tightly there so that the construction companies will commission them at all. so the money is made up later.
all the possibilities now given have already been mentioned here.
