There are no 80cm wide doors. There are only 60cm wide and 80cm high; I don’t know if the drillings will still fit if you rotate them 90 degrees or if you’ll have to drill new holes.

1. Yes, that is possible. That is the special thing about METOD.

right, there are no doors with 80cm width and 60cm height. since I only had 60cm width, I didn’t notice that last year either. but...
can’t you just rotate the 80cm high and 60cm wide doors by 90 degrees to use them? because of the pressure that would then be applied when pulling as a trash drawer, you could use a hailo waste separation system, there the rails are higher up.

Thank you!

Yes, I meant to turn these doors 90° - sorry if that was unclear. I actually want to use the Ikea waste system, and the example displayed at IKEA on site was also 80 wide and 60 high, but with a continuous plexiglass panel. Now I would like to replicate that and wonder if a continuous door would really be less stable than two drawer fronts screwed together, or if the planner just wants to annoy me. (These are Veddinge doors, which are only 1.6 thick).

PS: That new holes have to be drilled is not such a big deal. There are templates and also something to cover the door holes beforehand (cup-something?).

So I would say one piece is always more stable than two parts screwed together with only 2 rails. But things like rotating doors by 90° the planner cannot do. Also, of course it looks bad with fronts with grain if the grain is turned on a cabinet. For example, in every Ikea kitchen showroom there are also wall cabinets that have a 2 m door as a horizontal flap door, but the planner cannot do that either.
