Hello everyone,

we are close to completing the construction planning and starting the build. I’ve already been through the whole "I want everything until I don’t want anything at all" phase regarding smart home. Nowadays, I would simply like to be able to control the roller shutters and venetian blinds via app.

Following requirements:

    [*]Wired switches
    [*]Central switch for scenes
[*]Control via app / possibly also remote
[*]Wind sensor is not necessary, I would possibly like to handle that remotely. At work, this is solved with KNX, unfortunately quite unsatisfactorily (it constantly goes up and down, etc.)
[*]“Old-fashioned” operation via small display etc. like astro timers somehow repels me

What is currently in the running?
So far, it seems only the Gira System 3000 with a Bluetooth (remote will then unfortunately be difficult) add-on is an option, or then additionally Shellys or flush-mounted actuators (e.g. Bosch, etc.)

I have already practically read and looked at everything about KNX, Loxone, Hager Easy, Homematic, Somfy radio, Zigbee, Z-Wave and the like.
Somehow I seem to be missing something simple or haven’t yet seen something that covers the above requirements.

What else is out there or what can you recommend? Does anyone know the Gira System 3000?

Thank you very much for your experience!

You probably only like the idea. Because I really don't know anyone who actually does that after the initial euphoria. Or is it just about integrated control on a higher level for you? But that might then work the same way as it does for you in the office.

I will quote (with adjustments):

The best setup would probably be: Shelly 1 central switch for scenes in the living room and all 6 living room blinds/venetian blinds via flush-mounted Shelly 2.5, right? Shelly material costs at around €100 would be laughable.

To my knowledge, the Bosch system still requires a central gateway. I always find that a bit unfortunate because, in the end, you could end up with several such gateways from different manufacturers lying around. Otherwise, the Bosch smart home devices are now also HomeKit certified (if you are an Apple user). If you want to use other Bosch parts anyway, that of course is not a problem.

The Shellys are inexpensive flush-mounted actuators and can also be integrated into HomeKit, but as far as I know, they are not officially HomeKit certified. If that is not true, someone can correct me.

I will be using the new Eltako series 64 myself. These are also slim flush-mounted actuators that have a WLAN, Bluetooth, and EnOcean module on board and are also officially HomeKit certified. That way, I can create automations/scenes via the app on the one hand, and on the other hand, place a wireless switch somewhere via the EnOcean radio that controls, for example, several blinds at the same time. Since the delivery will only start at the beginning of next year, I will have to call the electrician again for that.

Yes, that's one way to do it. I still have Homematic running on a Raspberry along with all my shellys. If you want to take it a step further, you can get a second Raspberry and install the iobroker on it. Then there is almost nothing you can't do.
