Slope with ground-level terrace

Hello,

we bought a building plot with a slight slope. The plot is 23x23 and has a height difference of 3m from the street to the boundary point.

However, we do not want a basement or rather a ground-level terrace.
Now the idea was to create living spaces in the lower floor.

The idea would be living room/kitchen etc. downstairs and the bedrooms on the ground floor.

Has anyone implemented this and can report on it, possibly with pictures?

My wife is bothered by the idea that you always have to go down with the shopping. And she thinks that a "basement" doesn't have high ceilings.

Many developers advise us to have a basement, as the embankment will cost a lot of money. But I can't warm up to a balcony.

That depends on you and the building regulations regarding how high you plan the jwl floors.

Some people here have implemented their house with a basement and most also recommend it if the heights of the property make it possible.
