Slight slope - Should you fill or build on the slope?

All that’s missing is that the plot is undeveloped and the subsoil rocky, then you really have a full can of worms.

Yes, that's correct. No one can assess it based on photos. And within a built-up area there is no guarantee of being developed.

I first see about 80 cm high steps at both plots before the *ahem* "slight" slope begins. And yes, I would also strongly suspect that this could have to do with the soil conditions.

Even if it could be slightly removed to lower the plot to street level: this basin would then cause problems with surface water.

The price actually smells a bit like a pit and "the sewer is still to come," or similar jokes. A lot of money fits between "paved" and "developed."

And honestly, this looks to me like a "2000s DSL" village

Either way: for the extra earthworks, you can probably get a basement here as well.

What does "2000s DSL village" mean?

Regarding the basement:
We are getting a neighbor who will probably have Hartlhaus build the Trend 100 with a shed roof on a masonry basement with northern cellar rooms and to the south 2 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows/doors on his elongated plot.

I liked these plans and photos very much because if there is a slope anyway, almost everyone around here builds with a basement.

Well, simply a little village with a 2,000 kbit/s "fast" connection to the data highway.

So I just went there again and measured (using a special device borrowed from my father). The slope is 9%, or the property measures 2m high from front to back. Viewed from the front, at the back left by the hedge, it is almost flat (about 20cm slope).

PS: It is building land, and under the path directly at the property lie all utilities including VDSL100.
