Just a question: Where is the outdoor unit of the heat pump located?
To the left of the carport.
I would have planned many things differently as well. But it’s no use: Building permission has now been granted for this.
I also believe that this “we like it this way and not otherwise” is always a defense of a problem that one could not eliminate. Then comes the sugarcoating.
20 sqm separate living room is already more than others have in their all-in-one room. Nevertheless, the bathroom is missing here. Who wants something like that?
There is a corner for a wardrobe or actually none at all. 19 sqm bedroom is much larger than average.
It is as it is. Good luck with the general contractor and the construction
I wouldn’t call it a defense of a problem... but it is simply the best compromise for us.
Some things are dictated by the plot and the desired orientation according to the cardinal directions, and then there were things that were definitely more important to us than others. The playroom should be as central as possible, the terrace definitely facing north (I know that sounds very strange) and accessible from the kitchen. The main entrance should be on the upper side... etc.
I just think that without experiencing the decision-making process, it’s hard to understand the choices.
I don’t think that is desired. It takes weeks, either for the planner to take autism into account or for the builders/parents to endure or accept the balancing act compromise (that the disability is considered, but also subordinated to a well-functioning design). The focus here can be seen and is understandable.
I think you’re right there. Additionally, we are no longer very young and are sure that this suits us. And it is actually the case that we have a focus that others find hard to understand.
