The deal only works if the daylight engages with this perspective.

Sorry, you are exactly wrong about that.

Primarily, it is about functionality. This can be very well discussed here in the forum, since functionality often depends on fixed factors and mistakes can be recognized quite quickly.

And it is definitely not important whether I or whoever else identifies with this here.
If you want to move in, you should identify with it.
Ultimately, functionality and a neat room should be reflected.
......
But I have looked at everything again now and would favor my living rooms including access to the property in the south/west,
I haven’t drawn or planned anything yet, but in my opinion, it should not be difficult to arrange the common idea of spacious living space combined with children’s room and bedroom and au pair and etc. in a stylish and practical way.
One might think that you have some underlying priorities and these steer the designs, which otherwise no one here can understand.

I quote from 2013:

Ours works for us as well.

Daylight enters this room regardless of the perspective. Time and weather are the decisive factors.

Yes, I would like to have a lift shaft.

The reality – although I do not mean the Austrian word for real estate here – is the decisive factor that you can cheat in a 3D program, but not with sun rays.

Between Berlin and Potsdam, a Transrapid is not worthwhile.

Functionality should apply to everyone or basically in general. This should also be well described below:

Yes, nice. But priorities should first and foremost depend on the needs of the family, the daily routine in general, living space, comfortable living environments, and only then technical possibilities to optimize these processes.
If you set your lift as a priority and plan your house around it, very few here will understand it.

Thanks to everyone involved for the inputs!

Actually, I don’t want to file the draft away just yet. At least not now.
So I tried to mitigate the main criticism (too little light in the small apartment) a bit. By moving the staircase, an additional window facing south is now possible. A light well to the west would also be conceivable, but I haven’t drawn that in for now.

I am aware that such a south-west orientation would be fundamentally advantageous. However, most of the neighboring houses deviate from this orientation and are primarily aligned to the north or northeast. I think that is not without reason.

The current renderings are without any trickery.

The comparison does my elevator shaft honor. Only it would probably have a rosier future than the Transrapid.
