A lot of traffic area. I would omit a bathroom upstairs and instead make the children's rooms larger. Downstairs, omit the seating area in the kitchen and the wall to the dining room.

I know how much time my girls need in the bathroom. And I will have three of them in the future. Two bathrooms are almost a must. :)

The idea of leaving out the wall and working with a kitchen island or two opposite rows already came to us. But actually, we don't want an open kitchen.

I wouldn't do without the second bathroom with 5 people either. Sometimes we're overwhelmed just the two of us :P and we don't have makeup orgies

As in your plans, you can't build the kitchen like that. Your cooking peninsula is only 60cm deep and 1m directly in front of it is the seating area, your girls' long hair would be in the cooking pot :). This cooking island must be 1m deep. I would simply leave out the kitchen wall, the distance from the fireplace to the dining table is too small anyway. The wall in your bedroom is too close to the bed for me, you can barely get up there. The differently sized children's rooms would also bother me, that will lead to discussions later. However, the children's bathroom must be there for three children, we only have two, but we can hardly get into the bathroom anymore, therefore there is a children's bathroom in the new house as well.

Best regards Sabine

I would take the island crosswise. With a depth of 90 (inkl. Tresen) you would have at least 100 on one side, about 110 on the other, if the room is 375. At 110, 2-3 people can also sit at the counter, but beware: the one in the middle has a hard time getting out ;) Otherwise: remove the wall and leave the island as is, just plan it deeper and add a small seating area ;) Best regards in brief

The idea we developed over the weekend looks something like this. We will propose it tomorrow and are curious about the visualization. Then it will be easier to imagine. The south side will then contain three large, floor-to-ceiling window units. Opposite the stairs will be the door through which you enter the living/dining and kitchen area from the hallway. The other door will be removed.
