Thank you for that!

We wanted to expand the northern part. So please mentally rotate the roof by 90°.

That’s exactly how we see it too. Your domain really appeals to us.

If the opportunity exists, we would of course use it. We live in a 102 sqm apartment and are already reaching our limits, even though the really big purchases for the children are still ahead and the rest also needs to be stored. :)

Going directly from the bedroom & bathroom (private area) into the living room (public area) I don't find very good.

Suggestion:
Move the stairs about a meter to the right and create a short hallway in the freed-up space to the left of the stairs. The current bedroom door will then be relocated to the new hallway section.

Yes, then ... :) That would work for once. Nevertheless, access to the bedroom, sleeping area, and bathroom themselves need revision. You should still shift and shuffle there, so it concerns the whole southern half. Maybe make the entire block wider, but shorten it instead?

If it could be managed, the stairs could be placed on the opposite side and I would have the entrance from the hallway. Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to implement that.

Absolutely, hence the thread. I'll get right on it...

The arrow in the children's room is supposed to represent an alternative entrance. In that case, I would make the children's room a bit bigger if I were to remove the corner. That would probably also be the more elegant solution. Otherwise, of course, everything is roughly drawn now.

This is better, right? The entrance would also have a small vestibule this way.

Here is my suggestion: I would extend the dining room further (to the east), shorten the bedroom with the interior bathroom in the south, and bring west sun into the living area. The bathroom as an enclosed room is stupid, place it between the room and parents. The room with 18 sqm can also be made smaller if it will only be used as an office or guest room anyway. This would have the advantage that the living room does not have this wasted circulation area. The little hallway with access to the parents’ room is not exactly nice... I would move away from the interior bathroom. The hallway is now naturally gigantic, but then all rooms should be accessible from it. Eventually, it will work out - it just takes time and uses many, many drawings :)
