Thank you for that!I have looked at your draft
We wanted to expand the northern part. So please mentally rotate the roof by 90°.If you plan vs. desk, then of course the inner exterior wall at the top (where the third gable will be created) needs to be a load-bearing wall on the ground floor. That would probably be the middle wall between the bedroom and living room for you. You should ideally carry this through to the entrance (mentally) and treat it as a load-bearing wall. Ours is 24 cm thick. Of course, you can design passages and connect rooms with beams. The staircase should then already be in the area that will be extended upwards. I would have the bedroom accessed by a private corridor for you, from which the children's rooms also lead off. If it theoretically could work, so in your plan the stairs to the right and left then a corridor. But that will not work because the load-bearing wall is not yet drawn.
That’s exactly how we see it too. Your domain really appeals to us.Regarding the guest WC: I don’t think it’s a problem, as long as the children are small, they will be bathed and go to the toilet with you anyway. Later you have your extension, which I would provide for the children and also integrate a small bathroom upstairs (example see floor plan in Post #8)
Your living area has an area of 48 sqm (did I look correctly?), but it is not well usable. The dining area is not well 'separated' from your living space because the room is almost square.
If the opportunity exists, we would of course use it. We live in a 102 sqm apartment and are already reaching our limits, even though the really big purchases for the children are still ahead and the rest also needs to be stored. :)Yes, well, one would still have to see how the furnishing should actually be. There will certainly be many adjustments. [QUOTE]Regarding storage options: we have a knee wall under our lower roof, similar to an attic/loft. With the advantage that it can be accessed via a normal door from the upper floor. You could also plan that and it is particularly suitable for this roof shape.
