Or ingenious minds even nest the EG/OG building structures with gable roofs against each other - that results in a bit of flat roof at the bottom as well.

But seriously...is the design really by an architect? I don’t mean to sound ridiculous. Design can be debated. But some things (setback areas etc.) just don’t work like that...that’s really shocking for an architect’s design.

If it’s really supposed to be the plot, I would at least consider changing the architect...

No..., just very clever on the slope.
But I just like gable roofs with a twist.
My favorites back then were:
** Baurmann Dürr - Kirchfeld House (with the corner windows offset in the levels)
** Bub Architects - Blankenese House

We actually realized them in 2017 - significantly slimmed down, varied, combined, and adapted to our needs, clad in bricks, etc. - then indeed carried out.

what would be your suggestion for the roof for the best possible cube/flat roof character?
Let a staggered shed roof run out to the south with a small lip in the north?
Hipped roof with a high parapet without overhang?
