Hello everyone,

and once again a little update, this time for the contemplative second Advent :)
The base plaster has been applied, resulting in a crazy visual effect, in our opinion. The old parts from the existing structure are no longer visible from the outside.
Otherwise, the interior work is progressing a bit slower. Insulation is done. We are back to zero with the electrical work in the bungalow. We have decided at short notice to install KNX. The electrical installation of the granny flat remains unaffected, it is finished, and next week the base plaster will be applied inside there...
Window sills are installed, ventilation system is being set up. Due to the low ceiling height in the existing basement below, it will not be dropped but only skim-coated... The ventilation system will be run with flat ducts from above (bungalow) to below... plenty of core drillings for that... I had to include the atmosphere of the sunset in the update... it's really incredible when you have lived so far on a main road in a dark valley bottom :p
The second plot is more or less cleared... much larger than visually assumed :) I just have to see how to shred the greenery. My shredder is not really suitable for that. I need a temporary storage space for my scaffolding; as soon as the top plaster is finished, the scaffolding will be dismantled and earthworks around the house will begin (black insulation, studded foil, drainage, cisterns, etc.... for that, a construction waste container will arrive starting Monday :) With the next delivery of building materials, the last pallets of stones on the terrace will be removed... we are planning a privacy wall later, but for that, we will use a different material....

A few more pictures from the inside, I still had to take a few today for the construction progress report, I think I hadn’t really shown the common room properly yet.... unfortunately it’s usually not very tidy. Hopefully that will change sometime :-P

The windows are from Bewa-Plast Beck. Why?

Hello everyone,
the last update was a long time ago... but a bit has happened on the construction site besides a Corona infection of our daughter in December and a first sign of burnout on my part at the beginning of January...
The exterior view is pretty much finished. We still wanted to install a stainless steel exterior chimney, but unfortunately a piece was missing. We now have to catch up on that this coming weekend. Then quickly dismantle the scaffolding. It is sold and will be picked up :) That frees up space again and brings me some money to buy a decent vibrating plate. The excavator purrs like a kitten and is now also waiting to get started.
We will start with drainage and black insulation to install the heat pump outdoor unit as quickly as possible, because in 3 weeks the screed is coming (at least that's the plan).
All in all, we are now under some pressure to move in July since our old house is sold (200 inquiries, 70 viewings... crazy). Until then there is still a lot of work: We want to use the drying time for drywall construction.
[Pax] cabinets want to be installed after the tiles and before the fine plaster (in drywall) but Ikea currently is unable to provide delivery times.

Best regards
