After receiving many good tips during the startup phase, I did not want to withhold the further development from you. We have bought, planned, obtained approval, and are now in the execution phase. The roof will be put on at the end of July.

Hello everyone, I will try to occasionally post some pictures and give an update, if there is any interest. Currently, the roof is scheduled time-wise. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to finish everything relevant before my bricklayer's vacation. The interior walls still needed to be raised for the roof, as the structural plan included middle beams(?), which we initially didn't have on the radar in the scheduling. Well,... So there's a two-week construction break and then we will do bricklaying until the end of August, and then the carpenter will show up. Not so bad.

Another update.
Shell construction completed. Electrical rough installations for the granny flat finished. Rough plumbing for two bathrooms done and much prepared in the technical room.
Nice to see how a former ruin and a drawing turn into such a house.
We are good on budget but bad on time, as it usually is when you do it yourself.

Yes, own work - especially on this scale - takes time! Great that you are satisfied and see your house taking shape. I like the external design very much - personally, I really like shed roofs!

However, I have one remark: It is not my child and therefore not my business, of course, but I always find it difficult when children are recognizable in private pictures on the internet, as in the third picture. Maybe you can make the girl unrecognizable?
