That the teenager visit has to end with us. We hardly stay in front of the TV anyway.

What’s so special about the line of sight now? That you’re looking at the side wall of a cabinet?
I would work on that. You have to take care of the tall cabinets and the rest of the kitchen furnishings anyway – currently only a kitchenette is drawn in ;)
And since you mention it: where does the line of sight from the entrance door go? To the cellar stair door. Is that art or can it go? I’d point to the latter :)

The line of sight when entering the living area goes towards the open kitchen – I actually think that’s pretty good. But I’ll sketch the other option as well.
At the entrance door it doesn’t matter so much. It’s a hallway anyway, right? And you can’t see from outside where the door leads anyway.

Can you perhaps get something out of changing the square floor plan? But that probably won’t help much – just makes the garden smaller and possibly the side terrace a bit bigger.

Yes, that may be. Do you have a suggestion? I am planning-blind ;) Edit: Well, maybe I do have an idea after all. Move the entrance side a bit forward and push in the dining area. That would make an inverted "L". That could work.

I find the living room huge and therefore also the floor area of the house too big for the plot. Have you ever thought about simply making the whole thing smaller? Then it would surely be more pleasant in the garden. It seems to me that the living room is only that big so that a separation between kitchen and sofa is possible. Maybe it can be done differently. Make the kitchen and dining area smaller, possibly swap kitchen and dining table? For comparison, we have just under 40 sqm for kitchen, dining room, and sofa corner.
